Artist Bio

For over two decades, Cantos has been a driving force in the underground house music culture of Sacramento. As a DJ, producer, and founder of the HMNI movement, his sound bridges deep House and Techno with the soulful roots of Funk, Jazz, and Hip-Hop.

Producing & Releasing his FIRSt tracks on cpr digital IN 2004, Cantos has  worked with respected labels including sol selectas, Viva Recordings, Nervous Records, Ocha Mzansi, Wind Horse Records, and Uniting Souls Music, with multiple tracks landing in the Beatport and Traxsource Top 100 charts.

Known for dynamic DJ sets and deep musical selections, Cantos has performed internationally including appearances in Bangalore and Delhi, where he delivered a memorable all-vinyl closing set at AQI Festival.

Beyond the booth, Cantos is the founder of HMNI (Hello My Name Is)—a grassroots house music movement that has cultivated inclusive warehouse and outdoor events for over a decade. Through HMNI, Cantos continues to build safe spaces where music, art, and community connect on the dance floor.
